A good set at a reasonable price. Includes the necessary parts to make the race cars and displays shown on front of box, as well as a several bags of extra pieces for building different sets or creative building. Conveniently, the bags are grouped and numbered (e.g. the pieces for one race car are in bag 1, the other in bag 2, etc.), making it easier for assembly by younger children. Assembly directions are clearly displayed and included for construction of the Race Car Rally set, as well as several other alternatives using the included extra pieces (a different race car / finish line combo and a tow-truck are the two that come to mind). The whole set comes in a plastic lego-shaped tub, which is nice for storing the completed race cars and additional pieces. Construction was probably a bit advanced for my 3-year-old nephew, but I got to help him and that was all part of the fun. He loves the set, and has really enjoyed building creatively with the additional pieces provided in the kit. This is a fun Lego set, and my five year old son enjoys bringing it out. The large box is a bonus, although I don't use it for anything other than this set because my son is too young to sift through all his Legos to find pieces. If sets are not together, the Legos are thrown to the wayside! The one negative about this play set is that it gives you options of what to build, but you have to take apart the Legos and rebuild because you can't make everything at once. This may actually be a plus for an older child who loves to keep busy, but not necessarily for my five year old. Other than that, it's fun and inviting! This was a great started pack for us. Our 5yr old loved to follow the instructions to make the cool cars and there were still a lot of cool pieces for my 3yr old to be "creative" and make a cool car himself.Cons: There aren't any extra pieces of anything, just different additional ones. My 5yr old lost interest after losing a piece because it made it impossible to continue with the instructions. But it was more pieces for your money than you usually see and it made cars, which I liked.I recently purchased the Lego Junior Race Car Rally for my nephew's fourth birthday. I was in search of the perfect birthday gift, something that was both interactive as well as educational. This sure does fit the bill. He really enjoyed assembling the pieces to create race car rally. I love that Lego is a well known name in the toy industry and continues to release toys for children of all ages and abilities. If you have a child that loves legos or cars or both, they will love this gift!My grandson couldn't wait to put his new race cars together. Since he is only 4, we worked together (which we both enjoy immensely). I lead him through the directions page by page, and he eagerly assembled every block. When we were finished with the assembly, we set up the race course, selected our cars, and raced to the finish line. The trophy was awarded and the victory lap was taken. Fun from start to finish. The big, red Lego storage box was also a welcome addition to his growing collection. I will most likely buy another set so he can play with the 3 in 1 variations at the same time.I bought this for my son's 3rd birthday because he loves cars and loves (trying) to play with his older brothers' Lego sets. What I didn't expect was that all 3 of my sons would love playing with it (ages 3, 4, &7). The older ones helped my 3 year old and they played very well together for an hour or so. The sets come packaged and numbered like the regular Lego sets and this helped organize the construction of the cars. And then - added bonus - The storage container is really handy to store the Legos and to put away for another time.I CAN'T WAIT TO GET STARTED WITH MY 4 YR OLD GRANDSON, FELIX GOOSE. HE'S GONNA LOVE THIS. AND, I DON'T SHOW HIM, HE SHOWS ME HOWTO DO IT! HE HAS DONE SOME 8 YR OLD PROJECTS THAT HAD ME PULLING MY HAIR OUT, AS HE KEPT HUGGING ME AND TELLING ME NOT TO WORRY. "WE'LL GET IT DONE MEEMA"... WISH I COULD AFFORD A SUPER LEGO SET FPR HIM......SOMEDAY. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.......SARAH WURM ROSSIMy son (3.5) was thrilled to get more race cars. These are easier than the ones he's built before but there is more to build. Most pieces already have any decoration printed on them. I believe I only had to apply 2-3 stickers. We've only built the first half so far. The 2nd half has more pieces but I believe requires you to take apart what we've built so far and my son is too busy playing with them for now.Bought this as a gift for a friend's child and he loved it, as did the parents. For the price, it's a lovely gift that requires imagination and building skills. Can't go wrong!Ideal for small children so they can manipulate pieces better than the regular Lego. Junior Lego is a wonderful way to have small children learn to build, a step to the regular LegoMy 5 year old spends hours playing with them. Worth every penny you pay for them.My son really likes this kit. Loves race cars.My 4 year old grandson loved this lego set, although he has lots of legos at home this one hit the mark because he was able to create a car on his own.
